Before moving to Israel, all Garin Tzabar members undergo a preparation process. Having chosen to make Aliyah and serve in the IDF, we equip them with the tools, guidance, and support needed for a smooth transition.
Part of what makes Garin Tzabar unique is the intensive preparation process in which all members participate prior to moving to Israel. The preparation process includes 2-3 preparatory seminar weekends obligatory for all candidates.

18–24 (up to 25 for academic garin participants)
Minimum of two months spent in Israel over the past decade
High school graduate
Participation in the preparation seminars
Proof of no prior criminal record
Not obligated to serve in the IDF, according to the law by the Ministry of Defense
Must be eligible for Aliyah
Commitment to participate in the program as defined in the admissions packet
